Aegis

We are based over in Ejipura on R.A. Road. Our building is right on the 4th Cross, which is a fairly narrow and busy street. It is a very lively part of Bangalore and there is always something going on outside our windows. We work in the service industry, mostly taking calls and helping people with their accounts. It is a big office with a lot of people, so it can get quite loud during the peak hours of the day. We work in different shifts, which means there is almost always someone here at the desks. We do not have a lot of frills in our office; it is just a place to get the work done. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and talking to customers from all over. Sometimes the work is repetitive and the hours can feel long, especially on the night shifts. We all mostly live in the surrounding areas and take the local transport to get here. We do not use any fancy language to describe our business. We just provide support to people who need it over the phone or through email. It is a simple setup and we focus on getting through the queue of calls every day. When our shift is over, we usually grab a tea at the stall around the corner before heading home. It is a typical job for many of us in this city.
