Our office is over at 552, Door No-2, right on the Railway Parallel Road in R.P.C Layout. If you’re familiar with Vijaynagar, you know the sound of the trains passing by is just part of the background noise here. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, and our building fits right in with the others on the street. We do BPO work, which mostly means a lot of headsets and sitting at desks for long stretches. The lighting inside is that bright office kind that makes you lose track of time. We’ve got a small break area where we eat our lunch boxes and complain about the commute. It’s not a flashy setup. We have rows of computers and a few plants that someone forgets to water sometimes. Working in a call center environment has its ups and downs. Some days the phones never stop ringing, and other days it’s a bit slower. We aren't here to change the world, just to handle the tasks we’re given. The staff is a mix of young kids just starting out and older folks who have been in the industry for years. We all just try to get through our shifts and head home. It’s honest work, even if it gets a bit repetitive after a while. Being near the railway line makes the place feel alive, in a weird way. We keep the desks wiped down and the computers running.
