Being right opposite the MES School here in Jayanagar 4th Block means we hear the school bell ringing all day long. Advanced Micro Service Pvt. Ltd. is on the first floor of building 728, so you have to walk up those narrow, steep stairs to find us. It is a bit of a climb if you are carrying any heavy equipment. Inside, the space is mostly taken up by long workbenches and soldering irons. We spend a lot of time looking through magnifying glasses at tiny boards. My eyes usually get quite tired by four o'clock. The 10th Main road gets really crowded during the school pick-up hours, so we try to get our deliveries out early in the morning. The office is tucked away, and if you aren't looking for the small sign, you might walk right past the entrance. We have a small corner for water and a tiny fridge that makes a rattling noise in the afternoon heat. There is always a stack of components waiting to be sorted. Sometimes the couriers get lost finding the 35th C Cross, so we end up standing out on the balcony waving them down. It is not a big operation, just a few technicians who know their way around a circuit. We do not have a receptionist, so whoever is closest to the door just opens it for guests. The air conditioner is old and loud, but it works.
