We are located out in the Kodagu district of Karnataka. If you are looking for us, we are at K.A Thomas’s place in Athur Ore village. It is near Sunticoppa, specifically the Kambibane post office area. Being in Coorg is a lot different than being in a city like Bangalore. It’s very green here and the air is always cool. We operate out of this village setting, which means things move a bit slower but in a good way. The office is part of the local landscape, surrounded by trees and the sounds of the countryside. We don't have high-speed elevators or glass windows. Instead, we have a simple building that fits in with the village. Most of our work involves dealing with local matters and the group's activities. We know almost everyone in the village and the postman is a regular visitor. Sometimes the rains are so heavy that we have to stop work for a bit because the sound on the roof is so loud. It’s a very honest way to work. We don’t wear suits or ties here; it’s mostly just casual clothes that are good for the weather. People come by to talk and we usually have time for a cup of coffee because we are in the heart of coffee country. It is a peaceful place to be based and we are very much part of the local community in Sunticoppa.
