Abroad

The office here on V P Road is where we spend most of our time. It is a bit of a small space at 6-11-3, but it works for what we do. Bangalore is always loud outside the window, especially with the bikes going by, but once you come inside, it is fairly quiet. People come in asking about going to different countries for school or work, and we try to give them the right papers and tell them what to expect. We have been here for a while now, so we know the neighborhood pretty well. The stairs in the building are a bit steep, so you have to be careful when you walk up. We usually have a lot of folders stacked on the desks because there is always something to fill out. It is just a few of us working here, making sure the forms are right and the details are handled. Sometimes the internet is slow, which is annoying when we need to check things online, but we manage to get through the day. We don't have fancy furniture or anything like that. It is just regular chairs and tables and some old computers. We eat our lunch at the desks usually. People from Karnataka come from all over to find us. It feels good when someone actually gets their stuff sorted and can finally go where they wanted. We just keep doing the same thing every morning, opening up and waiting for the next person to walk in.
