Abnamro Bank

Our branch of Abnamro Bank is located on the 3rd Floor of H/14 in Shakarpur, New Delhi. If you have ever been to Shakarpur, you know it is one of the busiest places in the city. The noise from the market and the metro nearby never really stops. Climbing up to the third floor every morning is how we get our exercise for the day. The office is usually quite full of people and stacks of ledgers. We don’t have much in the way of luxury here; it is just a place where we sit and process the daily transactions. The air conditioning struggles a bit when it gets really hot outside, so we usually have a few extra fans running. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and talking to customers who come in with their passbooks and queries. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we have a good laugh during the tea breaks to keep our spirits up. Sometimes the queues get a bit long and people get impatient, but we just try to handle it as best as we can. We are just regular people doing a regular banking job in a very crowded part of Delhi. There isn't anything special about the way we work, we just follow the rules and try to get home on time.
