A Chartered Accountant Firm

Our firm is based in Mahalakshmi Layout in Bangalore. We are in the Asok Heights apartments, specifically in unit A303. Since it is a residential building, the place feels more like a home than a stiff office. You have to sign in with the security guard at the gate before coming up to see us. This flat has been our workspace for several years now. Inside, shelves are mostly full of tax files and folders. Being a chartered accountant firm means dealing with a lot of numbers every single day. Things get pretty stressful around the end of the financial year. My desk usually ends up covered in receipts and scrap paper. There is a small kitchen where we make coffee to keep us going during the long afternoons. From the balcony, the view is just other buildings, but stepping out there for a minute is still nice. No corporate branding is on the walls, just a few calendars and a clock that is five minutes fast. Most clients are people from around the neighborhood or small business owners who don't want to go to a big fancy firm downtown. Filings and audits are done as they come in. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. Sometimes explaining the same thing twice is necessary, but that is part of the job. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving desks around. It is just how it is. We like the local feel.
