A & C Computers

Our shop, A & C Computers, is on the first floor of building number 29, right on 1st Main in Nehru Nagar. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, which is nice when you are trying to concentrate on fixing a motherboard or sorting out a software glitch. The office is usually a bit of a mess with cables, disassembled laptops, and monitors everywhere. We have a few long tables where we do all the repair work, and there’s always a soldering iron warming up somewhere. People from the neighborhood drop by with their broken computers, and we spend a lot of our time explaining what went wrong and how long it might take to fix. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us who know our way around a hard drive. We don’t have a big storefront with bright lights, just a simple sign and a lot of technical stuff piled up inside. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so carrying the heavy desktop towers up can be a bit of a workout. Nehru Nagar has a good feel to it, and we like being part of the local community here. We spend our days troubleshooting and trying to recover lost data, which can be frustrating but also quite rewarding when things finally boot up again. It’s just us and the machines, working through the daily pile of repairs that come through the door.
