40Winks

We’ve been over here on Doddanna Nagar Main Road for a good while now. 40Winks is just a small spot in Kaval Byrasandra, not too far from the R T Nagar post office. Most people find us because they need a place to crash for a night or two without a lot of fuss. It’s not a fancy hotel or anything like that. We just have some rooms and keep things as clean as we can. Living and working in Bangalore, especially in this part of town, keeps us pretty busy every single day. The building is at number 117. Sometimes the traffic on the main road gets a bit loud during the day, but that’s just how it is around here. We don't have a big staff or a front desk that's open all night with people in suits. It’s usually just one of us around to hand over the keys and show you where the fan switch is. Most of our neighbors know us, and we try to keep things quiet for them. If you are coming from the post office side, it is a straight shot down the road. We didn't spend a lot of time making things look pretty with decorations. It is more about having a bed and a roof. Sometimes the water heater takes a minute to kick in, but it works eventually. We just do our thing here every day. People come and go, and we see new faces all the time. It’s a simple setup for anyone passing through this side of Bangalore. We don't have fancy towels or anything. Just the basics for a night.
