18Woodsinn is located at 42, S.S. Nivas on the 1st Cross. We are right on the Nagarbhavi Main Road, which is a very busy stretch of Bangalore. Being near Columbia School means there are always buses and parents around in the mornings and afternoons. Our building isn't very big, but it’s easy to spot. We spend our time making sure the rooms are tidy and the guests have what they need. It’s a lot of laundry and cleaning, to be honest. S.S. Nivas is an older house that we converted. The stairs are a bit narrow and the floors are made of old stone. We don't have a fancy lobby with a fountain. It’s just a small desk where we keep the guest book. I’m usually the one sitting there or checking the water tanks on the roof. Nagarbhavi is a nice neighborhood, very residential but with everything you need nearby. We get a lot of people staying here who are visiting the school or the university. We don't have a big kitchen, so we usually point people to the small hotels down the road for their meals. It’s a simple way to earn a living. We try to keep the place quiet, but the road noise sometimes sneaks in. We just do our best to keep things running smooth every day. There is always someone checking in or out.
