Our place is H No D - 165 in Naspoor. Janaki Biofloc Fisheries (Opc) Private Limited is mostly a one-person operation, though there are others who help out when things get busy. Biofloc is a bit different from regular fishing because it happens in tanks. We spend a lot of time monitoring the water and the fish. The house in Naspoor is where all the coordination happens. It is not a shiny office building. It’s just a regular house where we have set up the equipment and the files. You can hear the water pumps running most of the time. Sometimes the tanks need a lot of attention in the middle of the night if the power goes out. We don’t have any big corporate goals or fancy brochures to give out. We just want to make sure the fish are growing well in the tanks we have set up. It is a lot of learning as we go. Naspoor is a decent place to work from, and we have enough space for the setup we need. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the biology of the fish. It is a lot of testing the water and checking the feed levels. That is how we spend our days at the fisheries office. It is quiet work but it keeps us very occupied throughout the week.
