Hashmis Nursery & Primary School

Hashmis Nursery & Primary School is over in the Radio Park area of the Cantonment in Bellary. It’s a small school that mainly focuses on the younger children from the local neighborhood. The building is nestled in a quiet part of the Cantonment, so it’s a relatively safe and calm spot for kids. We have some small classrooms that are filled with drawings and charts on the walls. Every morning, you can see parents dropping off their little ones at the gate. It’s a busy time with all the bags and water bottles. The staff here is mostly local people who have lived in Bellary for a long time. We don't have a massive playground, but there's enough space for the kids to run around a bit during their lunch break. The school is quite simple and doesn’t have any high-tech gadgets or expensive setups. We just focus on teaching the basics like reading, writing, and some numbers. It feels more like a community center sometimes because the parents often stop to chat with the teachers. Life at the school follows a very predictable pattern, which is good for the children. It’s a bit worn down in places, but we do our best to keep it clean and welcoming for the families who rely on us in this part of town. It’s been here for years and we’ve seen many kids grow up and move on to the bigger schools in the city. Most neighbors know when our day ends because of the happy shouting.
