Kingsway Public School

Kingsway Public School is in Cowl Bazaar in Bellary. We are on Old Market Street at Door No 16. It is a very old part of town. The streets are narrow and it can get quite crowded with the market nearby. Our school has been part of this neighborhood for years. You can see the history in the walls of the building. We aren't a fancy school with air-conditioned rooms. We have ceiling fans and big windows. The kids come from the families who have lived in Bellary for generations. We see the parents who used to be students here themselves. It’s a nice feeling. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are here. The bell rings and you can hear it all the way down the street. We teach the usual subjects and make sure the kids behave themselves. Sometimes we have to deal with the dust from the wind, but that’s just Bellary for you. We keep the place as clean as we can. The teachers are local people who care about the kids. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that. Everything happens right here on Ward No 25. It is just a school where we try to give the kids a decent place to learn without any fuss or unnecessary extras. It’s honest work and we enjoy it. We are just a small part of this old market community.
