Prabha Pattern Works

Our place is Sm-231, located inside the M.T. Sagar Industrial Estate on Gokul Road. It’s an industrial spot, so it’s mostly warehouses and workshops like ours. We spend our time here working on different types of pattern works. The estate gets pretty loud during the day with all the different businesses running. We have our own corner where we keep the lathes and the workbenches. It's nothing special to look at, just a place where we do the labor. We deal with a lot of heavy patterns and the dust that comes with them. Every morning we open up and check what needs to be finished. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few guys who know how to build patterns from drawings. We've been on Gokul Road for a long time. The industrial estate has its own feel to it. We know the guys in the shops next door. Sometimes we borrow a tool or help each other out. That's how it works here. We keep our heads down and get the patterns done. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, but it’s honest work. If the patterns aren't right, the whole casting fails, so we take our time with the measurements. It’s a busy life but it suits us. We’ve been through a lot of rainy seasons here and the roof still holds up.
