J. V. Engineers

J. V. Engineers is located at B-12 in the Duch Industrial Estate over in Udyambag. If you’ve ever walked around Udyambag, you know it’s full of shops and factories, and we fit right in with the rest of them. Our place is basically a big workshop filled with the smell of grease and the sound of metal being worked on. We’ve been in this unit for quite a few years now. The floor is usually covered in some kind of shavings or dust because we are always cutting or grinding something down to size. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s an honest one. The guys on the team don't wear suits; we wear work clothes that get dirty by ten in the morning. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of our day is spent standing at the machines or checking measurements with a caliper. We take on all sorts of jobs, some small and some that take weeks to finish up. It’s a lot of hard work, and the heat in the summer can make the shop feel pretty stuffy, but we just keep the fans going and stay on it. People in the industrial estate know us as the guys who just get the parts made without a lot of complaining. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't, just engineers who know how to use our hands.
