Phoenix Public Residential School

Phoenix Public Residential School is situated right on NH-4, along the Pune Bangalore Road in the Honga area of Belgaum. It’s near the Bogarves Circle, which is a well-known spot for anyone traveling through here. Because we are right by the highway, you can hear the constant sound of trucks and buses passing by all day and night. It’s a residential school, so the students stay in the dormitories on the campus. The building is large enough to house everyone, but it’s quite plain in its design. We have a lot of space for the kids to walk around, though the noise from the Pune Bangalore Road is always there in the background. The staff lives nearby or sometimes on-site to keep an eye on things. In the mornings, we have to make sure the residential students are up and ready before the day scholars arrive. Our classrooms have the basic stuff like desks, chairs, and fans that rattle a bit when they are on high speed. The canteen is a busy place, especially during breakfast and lunch when everyone is hungry. We don't have a fancy reception area; it’s just a desk where the clerk sits and handles the fees and admissions. It’s a busy, practical place where we just focus on the daily grind of teaching and managing the hostel. The evenings are spent supervising study sessions before everyone heads to bed for the night.
