Elco Engineers

Our workshop is situated at No D-3 in the Govt Industrial Estate at Udyam Bagh. This area is quite organized since it is a government-run estate, so all the blocks are clearly numbered. It makes it easier for people to find us compared to some of the more chaotic parts of town. We are engineers by trade, so our space is filled with the usual stuff—lathes, drills, and piles of metal scrap. The atmosphere in Udyam Bagh is very industrial. Every morning, you can hear the sound of shutters opening all down the line of buildings. We usually start early to beat the heat of the day. Our unit isn't huge, but we make the most of every square inch. There’s a small corner with a table where we keep our blueprints and have our lunch. We don't have a team of salespeople or anything like that. We just rely on the work we do to keep us going. Some days are more stressful than others, especially when a machine breaks down or a deadline is looming, but we usually figure it out. It’s a small, tight-knit group of us working here. We have worked together for so long that we don't even need to talk much to know what the other person is doing. It’s just a regular engineering job in a regular industrial estate. We don't try to make it sound like anything more than what it is.
