You can find us over in Barhni, Basti, at the Shri Narendra Prasad Mishra Shanti Devi Inter College. We’ve been operating here for a good while now, and the building has seen many students come and go over the years. It’s a local place where families from the surrounding areas send their children for their schooling. The morning starts with the usual rush of kids arriving on bicycles or walking through the gates. Our classrooms are simple, just the basic desks and boards you’d expect in any school around here. We don't have fancy gadgets or anything like that. The teachers focus on the textbooks and making sure the students are ready for their exams when the time comes. Life at the college is pretty routine. We have our assembly, then the classes start, and there’s a break in the middle of the day for lunch. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to open the windows wider to let the light in. It gets quite loud during the recess when everyone is out in the common area. We try to keep things running smoothly, even when things get a bit chaotic with so many students in one place. It’s just a normal school doing its job every day. We don’t make a big fuss about things, we just get on with the teaching. Most people in Basti know where we are, right there in the Barhni area.
