Central Academy Senior Secondary School

Central Academy Senior Secondary School is situated right by the Police Line in the Civil Lines area of Basti. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always something going on nearby. Being near the Police Line means it’s a fairly well-known landmark for anyone living in Basti. The school building has been standing there for years. It’s a multi-story structure with plenty of windows to let in the light, though some of them stick a bit when you try to open them. We have a lot of students coming in from different parts of the city. The mornings are always a bit chaotic with buses and rickshaws lined up outside the gates. We have a small office near the entrance where we handle the paperwork and talk to parents. The desks in the classrooms are made of wood and have plenty of scratches from years of use. It’s just a place where kids come to learn their subjects and sit for their exams. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or luxury facilities. It’s all very practical. There is a courtyard in the middle where the students gather for assembly in the morning. Sometimes the sun is really hot, so we try to keep it brief. Most of the staff has been here for a long time, so we know how things work. It’s a steady routine of lessons, lunch breaks, and homework assignments.
