Namita Computer

Basanti isn't the biggest place in South 24 Parganas, but it’s where we have been for a long time. Namita Computer is just a local spot for folks who need help with their technology. We’ve got some desks and plenty of spare parts scattered around. People around here know exactly where to find us when things go wrong. It’s quiet most mornings, which is nice. Then someone usually comes in with a laptop that won't turn on or a monitor that's gone dark. We spend a lot of time looking at motherboards and tiny chips. It’s detailed work, and sometimes my eyes get tired from staring at the small components. We don't have a fancy showroom with glass cases. It's more of a workspace with some keyboards and mice for sale on the side. The power goes out sometimes in South 24 Parganas, so we have to deal with that as it happens. It slows the work down, but there isn't much to be done about it. We just sit and wait for the lights to come back on. Most of our customers are neighbors from the area. We know their names and their families. We talk about the weather or the local news while we try to diagnose a problem. Here, if we can't fix a machine, we just tell you straight. There’s no point in making things up. We just try to be useful to the people living around Basanti.
