Surya Stone & Art Private Limited

At Surya Stone & Art Private Limited, we spend most of our days out here at 129, Meghavalo Ki Dhani. It is a quiet spot in Naya Kunaguda Malani, where the dust from the stones usually covers everything by noon. We started this place because stone is what we know. My cousins and a few local guys help out with the heavy lifting and the carving. Sometimes it gets really hot, and we have to take long breaks under the shade, but the work gets done eventually. People come by and ask for different things, maybe a specific cut or a piece for a house, and we just show them what we have piled up. We aren't big on fancy offices or desks. Most of our talking happens right where the slabs are leaning against the wall. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but the air is different than in the city. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the routine hasn't changed much. We wake up, check the stock, and see what needs moving. Sometimes the trucks are late, or the rain makes the ground soft, but that is just part of living out here. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a group of people working with stone every day. If you ever find yourself near Naya Kunaguda, you’ll see our gate. It’s usually open unless the wind is too strong.
