About Balaji Marble Granite – Building & Construction Material in Barmer
Working at Balaji Marble Granite means living with stone dust. Our place is at F-2(A) in the first phase of the Riico industrial area in Barmer. If you’ve ever been to Barmer, you know it gets incredibly hot, especially out in the open where we keep the slabs. We spend our days moving heavy pieces of marble and granite around. It’s physical work and your back definitely feels it by the evening. We have various saws and polishing machines that make quite a racket. It’s not a place for a quiet conversation. We get all sorts of blocks in, and it's always interesting to see the patterns inside once we start cutting them open. Every piece of stone is a bit different, which keeps the job from getting too boring. We aren't sales people with smooth talk; we usually just show folks the actual stone and let them decide. The yard is usually a bit of a mess with scraps and water from the cutters, but that's just the nature of the business. We’ve been in this Riico phase for a while and know most of the other shop owners around here. We just try to cut the stone straight and get the finish right. It’s honest work, even if it is a bit loud and dusty. We don't overthink things much, just focus on the next slab and getting it ready for whoever is waiting for it.
