Out in Saltora, specifically in the Upargora Adibasipara area, is where this branch of Larsen & Toubro Limited is based. It’s quite a different setting compared to the big city offices you might expect from a name like this. Out here, the pace feels a bit different, but the work is still steady. We spend our time managing the local operations and making sure the equipment is where it needs to be. The district is a bit quiet, but our site stays busy with people coming and going. We have a few small rooms where we keep our records and meet up to discuss what needs to happen for the day. It’s not a polished environment at all. There’s usually dirt on the boots and a lot of tea being drunk while we look over the plans. We deal with a lot of local workers and try to keep things organized so nobody is standing around wasting time. The weather can be a bit harsh out here, hot in the summers and dusty when the wind picks up across the open ground. We just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s about getting the job finished properly and moving on to the next part of the project. We don't have a big marketing team here; it’s just the folks on the ground doing the actual labor. We stay until the sun goes down most days, making sure the gates are locked and everything is ready for the next morning.
