Sangeetha Electronics

Down here at Krishnarajpuram Old Madras Road 42, things are usually pretty busy at Sangeetha Electronics. The shop is filled with all sorts of parts and old gadgets waiting to be looked at. It’s not the biggest space, so we have to stack things up on the shelves quite high. Most days start with opening the shutters and clearing the dust off the counter. The traffic on Old Madras Road is always moving, so there’s a constant hum of engines outside our door. We deal with whatever comes in, whether it’s a small repair or someone looking for a specific cable. It’s a lot of sitting at the workbench with a soldering iron and trying to figure out why something stopped working. We’ve been at this number 42 spot for a good while, and the locals know us by name. It gets a bit hot in the back room where we do most of the heavy work, but we have a small fan that helps. We don’t really have a showroom or anything like that; it’s more of a workshop where stuff gets fixed. Sometimes a customer will stay and chat for a bit while we finish a quick job. It’s just how we do things. We keep the ledger by the phone and write everything down by hand. It’s a simple life running a shop like this, but it keeps us on our toes every day when we open up.
