The shop is located on 40th Cross in Jayanagar 5th Block, right where 9th Main meets it. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main roads, but parking is always a headache for everyone. We’ve been at building 428 for a while now. The trees outside drop a lot of leaves, so the front looks a bit messy if we don't clean it every few hours. Inside, we have rows of washing machines and microwave ovens. It feels a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives and we have to squeeze everything in. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. The air conditioner in the corner makes a bit of a humming noise, but we’re used to it. Most people who stop by are from the houses around here, looking for something to replace an old appliance. We don’t do anything too complicated, just show people what’s in stock and write out the bills. Lunch is usually a quick affair in the back room. Sometimes the phone rings all day, other times it’s dead quiet and we just organize the display shelves. It’s a simple routine we’ve had for years. The floor is that old tile that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We just keep things moving along as best as we can without making too much of a fuss.
