Our work is a mix of designing things and then actually building them. It sounds complicated, but it’s mostly just making sure the drawing on the paper actually works when you start putting bricks together. We aren't a huge team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. One day we might be sketching out an idea, and the next we’re at a site checking on the foundation. D J Halli is a busy neighborhood, and being located here keeps us right in the middle of the action. The office is just a regular room with some desks and a lot of rolls of paper. We don't have any polished corporate speeches to give. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure the buildings we work on are solid. Sometimes the design part takes longer than we thought, or the building part hits a snag because of the weather. That’s just part of the job. We’ve been at S R Block for a while now and we like the local feel of the place. It’s not a fancy setup, but it works for us. We just show up, do the design work, manage the builds, and try to keep things moving along nicely. This is our daily routine.
