I am Ravi Prakash, an advocate over here in Gandhi Nagar 2. My office isn't anything special to look at, just a room with some chairs and a lot of law books. I have lived in this area for a long time, so it made sense to set up my work here too. People from the neighborhood drop by mostly. Sometimes they just have a quick question. I spend my mornings mostly preparing for whatever is on the schedule. The street outside gets pretty crowded, especially in the afternoons. I like the local feel of Gandhi Nagar. It has got a specific rhythm to it. I do not use a lot of fancy technology, mostly just my computer and the phone. Sometimes the printer acts up, which is annoying. My files are organized, but the desk always looks messy to anyone else. I started this practice years ago. It is honest work. I do not promise miracles, I just look at the laws and see what can be done. It is a quiet life mostly. I have a tea stall nearby where I go for breaks. Being an advocate means listening a lot. I am usually here from ten till late. If the door is open, I am inside. It is a simple arrangement that works for me and the people who come to see me. I have an old calendar on the wall that I forget to flip sometimes. My desk is a heavy thing made of dark wood that has seen better days.
