Raghavendra Spectro Metallurgical Laboratory

Raghavendra Spectro Metallurgical Laboratory has its home in the Peenya Industrial Area. We are specifically located on the 9th Cross in the 4th Phase, at number 326. Being in Peenya means we are surrounded by factories and workshops, so it’s always loud with the sound of trucks and machinery. Our lab isn't a clean, white-coat kind of place like you see in movies. It’s a working industrial lab. We have heavy testing machines that take up most of the floor space. They’re made of solid metal and have a lot of grease on the moving parts. We spend our days taking samples of different metals and checking what they’re made of. It’s precise work, even if the environment feels a bit rough around the edges. The office part of the building is just a small corner with a few old filing cabinets and a computer that’s a bit slow to boot up. We’ve been at this same location for a long time, and the building shows it. There are cracks in the floor and the paint is fading on the exterior walls. We usually have lunch together in a small back room that also doubles as storage for some of the older equipment. It’s hard work and it can get quite hot in the summer, but it’s what we know how to do. Every day we just focus on getting the reports done for the factories nearby.
