Power Design

Power Design is a small operation located at number 21 on the 2nd Cross of Queens Road. It’s one of those spots that’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but we like it that way. The building is older and has some character to it. We mostly work on design layouts and technical drawings for power projects. There isn't a lot of space for a big showroom, so we just have our desks and some drafting equipment. Most of the people who work here have been in the industry for years and prefer the quiet of this side street over the main roads. You’ll usually find a few of us hunched over monitors or talking about load calculations. We aren't big on marketing or social media; most people find us because someone else told them we do okay work. The 2nd Cross can get a bit tight for parking sometimes, so we usually tell people to come by in the morning. It’s just a handful of us making sure the designs are accurate and ready for the builders. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it works for us. Queens Road is a good landmark for people trying to find the general area. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day of the week.
