We run Poorti Rent A Car Logistics Pvt Ltd from our office at Thollamitchi Nivas, which is on Criscons Avenue in Doddabanaswadi. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, and there’s always someone needing a vehicle for a trip or for moving things around. We have a small fleet and a few drivers who know the city streets better than anyone. Our office isn’t much to look at, just a room with some chairs and a desk where we track where all the cars are. Sometimes a car comes back late or someone cancels at the last minute, and we just have to figure it out as we go. That’s the nature of the rental business. We don’t use any of those big slogans you see on TV. We just tell you what cars we have and what the price is. Most of our customers are folks from around the Banaswadi area who have been using us for years. They know where Thollamitchi Nivas is and they just drop by when they need a ride. We spend a lot of time on the phone making sure everything is running on time. It can be stressful when traffic is bad, which is most of the time in Bangalore, but we do our best. We’re just a local crew trying to keep people moving without making things more complicated than they need to be for our customers.
