You have to look for Muniswappa Lane Galli to find us. It’s a small lane off S.P. Road in Thigalarapet. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets. Pooja Electronics is a small shop, but we have thousands of items packed into the drawers. We sell all the small components that go into electronics. It’s a lot of resistors, transistors, and little wires. The shop is quite old and the wooden counters are worn down. We don't have much space to move around. Usually, there are three or four customers squeezed inside at once. It gets hot, especially in the summer. We have a small fan that doesn't do much. The noise from the main road is constant. We spend our day pulling out tiny drawers and counting parts. We don't use barcodes. We just know where everything is by memory. It’s a traditional way of doing things. My father started this and I just kept it going. We get all sorts of people, from students working on projects to old repairmen. The light in the lane is always a bit dim because the buildings are so close together. We drink tea from the same guy every day. It’s a hard life in the market but it’s what we know.
