Being on the ground floor of an apartment block makes it easy for people to find us, though parking can be a real headache sometimes. We spend most of our time looking over blueprints and talking to contractors. The office itself is pretty functional. We have a couple of computers that have seen better days and a lot of folders stacked up on the shelves. It’s not a corporate showroom; it’s where the actual planning happens. We might be a private limited company, but we feel more like a local fixture given how long we’ve been in this spot. People know the Monalisa building well. We keep our doors open and try to stay busy with the various projects we have going on. It’s a lot of coordination and phone calls. Sometimes the tea lady comes by, and that’s the highlight of the afternoon. We just keep at it, one day at a time, right here in the heart of the 2nd Stage.
