No 12/3 4th Cross Lalbhag fort Road. Doddamavalli. Paraiso Construction is tucked away in this busy part of town. The streets are narrow, so getting the construction trucks in is always a bit of a puzzle. We have to time it right or the whole road gets blocked. Our office is small, just enough for a few chairs and a table covered in site plans. We do a lot of work around this area because we know the old buildings and how they were put together. It's a lot of sweat and dust. My brother and I started this after working for other people for too long. We wanted to do things our way without all the corporate talk. We talk to the masons and the painters every morning to see what’s what. Sometimes the cement doesn't show up or someone gets sick, and we have to jump in ourselves. It's not a glamorous life, but seeing a wall go up straight is a good feeling. We don't use any big marketing words. We just build. If a wall needs fixing or a whole house needs to be built from the ground, we do it. We've lived in Bangalore long enough to know how things work here. Most of our clients are just people from the neighborhood who know where to find us. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just what we need to get the job done right and on time.
