Om Sri Kamadhenu Jyothisya Kendra

The place is called Om Sri Kamadhenu Jyothisya Kendra and we are located on Magadi Main Road at number 14. It is a very busy street in Bangalore, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the buses and scooters passing by. We open the doors quite early because people like to come in before they start their own work day. Inside, it smells like incense and old paper. We have a lot of books about the stars and calendars that we use to check the dates. The furniture is just a few old wooden chairs and a table where we sit with the people who visit us. We don't have a website or any of that modern stuff; we just rely on people walking in or hearing about us from their neighbors. Most of the time is spent looking at hand-written charts and explaining things to people who are worried about their future or their family. It can get very hot in the afternoons, so we have a small pedestal fan that hums in the corner. We keep things very simple here. There are no fancy decorations, just a few pictures on the wall and a small lamp. We take our time with everyone who comes through the door because we know they are looking for some peace of mind. It’s a humble spot, but it’s been our home for many years now. We usually close up when it gets dark and the street lights come on.
