Bhrugu Jyothishyalaya

Bhrugu Jyothishyalaya is a small place located in Srirampuram on the 4th Main Road. Our specific address is L N Puram, number 230. It is a traditional spot where we handle astrology and help people look at their charts. The building is quite old and has that familiar smell of incense and paper. We have a few wooden chairs for people to sit on while they wait their turn. The 4th Main Road is a busy part of the neighborhood, but our room feels very different once you step inside from the street. We have books and charts spread out on the desks because that’s how we do our work. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning or modern furniture. It is just a simple room where we sit and talk to people about their lives and what the stars might be doing. Most of the people who come to see us are from around the area, though some travel from further away if they heard about us from a neighbor. We usually start quite early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. By the afternoon, it can get a bit warm, so we keep the fans going. It’s a quiet life of looking at old calculations and trying to make sense of things for anyone who walks through the door. We’ve been at this same spot for years, and the locals know the door well.
