N J Ramesh

N J Ramesh is based in Vijaya Nagar at the Neelyog building on R B Mehta Road. This is right in the heart of Ghatkopar East 72. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know it’s always moving. Our spot in the Neelyog building is where we do all our daily tasks. It’s a busy building with a lot of different people coming and going all the time. We have a small space that we’ve managed to fit everything into. There are books and papers everywhere, mostly because we prefer having things on paper rather than just on a computer screen. R B Mehta Road is usually packed with cars and people, so there’s a lot of energy right outside our door. Sometimes it’s a bit much, but it keeps us on our toes. We don’t have a big corporate mission or anything like that. We just come in, check what needs to be done for Ramesh, and get to it. It’s a very personal way of working. Most of the people we deal with are locals or people who have been coming to this area for years. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often stop to chat when we’re heading out for lunch. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation where we try to stay on top of things without making too much of a fuss. We like the neighborhood and the people who make it what it is.
