N J Power Solutions is situated in JP Nagar 42. It’s a decent area and we’ve made ourselves quite comfortable here. The shop is filled with all sorts of bits and pieces related to what we do. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as there is always some dust or a stray wire lying around, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of our time either out on calls or sitting at the back bench trying to fix something that’s stopped working. It’s a lot of hands-on work. We don’t really have a front desk person, so if you walk in, you might have to shout a bit to get someone’s attention from the back. JP Nagar has changed a lot since we first started, with more shops and traffic every year, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We have a small kettle for making tea and a few old stools for when we want to sit down for five minutes. We don’t have any big marketing plans or a social media manager. Most people find us because they live in the neighborhood and saw our sign while walking by. It’s a straightforward way to run a business, and it keeps us busy enough without being overwhelming. We just focus on the task in front of us and move on to the next one. It is honest work and it keeps us going.
