Mariyam Exports

Our little shop is located over in Kadugondanahalli, specifically at Shop Number 10. It’s not a very big space, so things can get pretty cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in at once. Usually, the day is spent checking through boxes and making sure everything is labeled correctly before it goes out. There is always a lot of tape and cardboard lying around the floor. We have been in this spot for a while now and the neighborhood is always busy with people moving back and forth. It gets quite noisy outside with the traffic, but inside we just focus on getting the packing done. We handle a lot of different items and every day feels a bit different depending on what needs to get shipped out. Sometimes we are waiting on deliveries that are running late, which can be a bit frustrating, but that is just how this business works. We don't have any fancy displays or a big reception area because we need every inch of space for the goods. If you come by, you’ll probably see us drinking tea while we wait for the next truck to arrive. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy crates and stacking them up near the door. We just try to keep things organized so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It’s just us here in KG Halli, doing our thing and keeping the exports moving as best as we can.
