This branch is located at No 1 1 on Murugesh Mudaliar Street in Shanthinagar. If you know Bangalore, you know how Shanthinagar gets during rush hour. Our building is right in the middle of it all. It’s a bit of an old-school street, and we’ve been here for a while now. The office space inside is fairly compact, so we have to keep things pretty organized or it gets messy fast. We usually have a few people waiting by the door first thing in the morning. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time on the phones or typing away on our keyboards. You can hear the bikes and autos buzzing by outside constantly. It’s just the reality of working in this part of town. Sometimes the internet slows down when it rains heavy, which happens a lot here, so we just wait it out and chat for a bit. There’s a small place nearby that makes decent coffee, and that’s basically what keeps us going through the afternoon. We don’t have any of those big fancy lounge chairs you see in the mall banks. It’s just wooden desks and standard office chairs. We know the regular faces who come in from the neighborhood. It’s a straightforward job. We handle the deposits, the forms, and the small talk. It feels like a real part of the Shanthinagar community, just a small piece of the bigger bank.
