Kirans Music

If you are looking for Kirans Music, you can find us at the Basaveshwara Nagar entrance. We are located on Commercial Street, specifically Kamaraj Road, number 51 H. This street is always humming with people. I’ve always liked being near the entrance because you see everyone coming and going. The shop itself is filled with instruments and bits of gear. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside. We have things stacked on shelves and sometimes on the floor too. It is not the kind of place where everything is behind glass. I like people to be able to touch the instruments. The air in here smells a bit like old wood and guitar strings. I spend my time tuning things or talking to people who walk in off Kamaraj Road. Sometimes someone will pick up a guitar and play a few notes, and that makes the day better. The floorboards creak when you walk towards the back. We have been here at 51 H for a good while. I don't do much in the way of selling hard. If someone likes an instrument, they know. I just keep the place open and make sure the strings aren't rusty. It’s a simple life. Commercial Street can be a headache with the parking, but it is home to this shop. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Sometimes we get students coming in after school just to look at the drums. It keeps the energy high in here even on slow days.
