K R Prakash

K R Prakash is located at number 1296 in Khoja Gali, which is part of the Rajajinagar area. It’s a bit of a narrow lane, so it can be tight if you’re driving a big car through there. The building is an older one, like most of the structures in this part of town. We have our main room where we do most of our work. There’s a heavy wooden door at the entrance that sometimes sticks when it’s humid out. Inside, the space is filled with old ledgers and a couple of computers that have seen better days. We don't have a lot of fancy lighting, just some tube lights on the ceiling. It’s a functional place, not meant for showing off. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood through the windows—kids playing, vendors calling out, and the general hum of Rajajinagar. We’ve been at this spot for a long time now. The walls are a pale color that’s faded over the years, and there are stacks of books and papers on almost every flat surface. It’s just a one-man show mostly, or maybe a couple of us helping out. We don’t have a website or any big advertisements. People just find us by the address or through someone they know. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day. We usually open up early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down and it gets quiet.
