K M Yacoob Co

K M Yacoob Co is over at No 5 1 B Street on H K P Road. It is right near Slaughter House Road in the Shivajinagar area of Bangalore 560051. If you know that part of town you know it is incredibly crowded and loud almost every hour of the day. Our building is an old one and it has a lot of character even if the walls could use a bit of paint. We have been operating out of Shivajinagar for a long time because it is the heart of the trading area. The streets are narrow and you have to dodge scooters and carts just to get to our front door. Inside the office it is a bit quieter but you can still hear the honking from H K P Road. We have old wooden shelves filled with ledgers and various items we trade. The air usually smells like the tea stalls nearby and the exhaust from the traffic. We don't have a big sign out front so you have to look for the number 5 1 B on the door. It is a family-style business atmosphere where everyone knows everyone else's name. We drink a lot of tea while we talk to customers who have been coming to us for years. K M Yacoob Co is just a part of the old Bangalore fabric that hasn't changed much while the rest of the city grows.
