Jaypee Associates

Our office for Jaypee Associates is situated on Mahakali Caves Road, right near number 38. If you know this part of the city, you know that the road stays pretty busy from morning until night. We spend most of our hours inside this space, which is basically just a few rooms filled with desks and old filing cabinets. The walls are a bit plain, and we have some calendars hanging up to keep track of the weeks. It is a practical place where we get our work done without much fuss. Usually, we start the morning by sorting through the mail and checking what needs to be finished first. There is a small window that looks out toward the street, so we can see the rickshaws and cars passing by all day. Sometimes we go out to one of the nearby shops to get a snack or a cold drink when the afternoon slump hits. The building has been here for a long time, and you can tell by the way the stairs feel. We don't have any fancy lobby or a bunch of staff to greet people. It is just a handful of us doing our jobs and trying to stay organized. When the monsoon hits, we have to make sure the windows are shut tight because the wind really picks up on this road. It’s a simple, honest place to work.
