International Data Corporation

Based in Bangalore, International Data Corporation is tucked away in a part of the city that's always seeing a lot of growth. We deal with a lot of numbers and market trends, which sounds a bit dry to some, but it’s what keeps the lights on for us. The Karnataka 560076 area is where we do most of our thinking. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a bunch of computers and a few whiteboards that are usually covered in scribbles that only we understand. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and trying to figure out what the latest tech shifts mean for regular businesses. It’s a lot of typing and occasionally arguing over a specific data point. Bangalore traffic is a nightmare, so half the morning is usually spent talking about how long it took everyone to get into work. We don't have a big HR department or a gym in the building. It’s just a practical space where we can focus on the reports we need to finish. Sometimes we order lunch in and eat at our desks because there’s too much to do before the day ends. We’ve been in this part of India for a while now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around us. It’s a busy life, but we like the rhythm of it, even when the data gets confusing and we have to start over from scratch to get it right.
