You can find the Institute Of Aerospace Medicine IAF at 103, 24th Cross, 3rd Block East in Jayanagar, Bangalore 560011. This is a government-run place, so it has that specific feel to it. It’s not like the flashy startup offices you see elsewhere in Bangalore. Jayanagar is a nice area, quite established with lots of trees and old houses. Our building fits right in. It’s functional and doesn't waste any space on unnecessary things. Inside, the hallways are wide and the ceilings are high. It can feel a bit empty sometimes, but there’s always work going on behind the doors. We use a lot of older equipment that still works perfectly fine. The desks are heavy wood, and there are filing cabinets lining the walls. We don't have any of those modern open-plan layouts. Everyone has their own space to focus. The 24th Cross is usually quiet, except for the occasional delivery truck. We don't have a big social media presence or a PR department. We just do the medical and aerospace work that’s required of us. It’s a serious environment, but not stiff. We talk to each other about normal things during lunch. We like the history of the place, even if the building itself is just a plain, grey structure. It’s a reliable place with a long history in this part of the city. We just keep things moving along without any fuss or noise.
