Innovative Translation Services is located over at Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar 419. We spend most of our time here looking at documents and figuring out how to flip words from one language into another without losing the original meaning. It isn’t always easy work, especially when the text is messy or the handwriting is hard to read. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. Most days, someone is sitting at the front desk handling phone calls while the rest of us are hunkered down with dictionaries or looking things up on the computer. It gets pretty quiet in the office when everyone is focused. People come by with all sorts of things, like birth certificates or legal papers that need a quick turnaround. We try to keep things moving so no one is waiting too long for their files. The neighborhood is okay, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street outside. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that, just a workspace where the work gets done. If you walk past number 419, you’ll see our small sign. Translating isn't just about knowing two languages; it’s about making sure the person reading it on the other side actually understands what was meant. We deal with various dialects and sometimes very technical stuff that takes a bit of extra time to get right. It’s just us here, doing the job day in and day out.
