Our location for Infosys Bpo Ltd E City Bangalore is listed for E City, but we are actually working out of the Chikkadugodi area in MIDC Phase II at Hinjewadi. It’s a bit of a mix-up with the names sometimes. Hinjewadi is huge and it feels like a city of its own with all the construction and the IT parks everywhere. Our spot in Phase II is right in the thick of it. The roads here are always under some kind of repair, so the commute can be a bit of a struggle. Once you get inside the building, it’s a lot more organized. We have a large floor where everyone sits together. It’s quite noisy with the sound of typing and people talking on their phones. We have a lot of computers and the servers hum in the background all day. There are big windows, but they mostly look out at other office buildings or the dusty roads. We take our breaks in a small corner where there’s a water dispenser. Most of us bring lunch from home because eating out every day around here gets expensive. It’s a busy environment and we’re always trying to keep up with the pace. It’s not very personal because the building is so big, but our specific team is pretty close. We just try to get through the queue of work and keep things moving. We grab some tea when we can and then it is back to it.
