Independent Freelancer

I work as a freelancer from Shashi Kiran Apartments in Malleswaram. It’s an older part of Bangalore, and I really like the vibe around 18th Cross. I’ve been doing this for a while now, sitting at my desk in apartment 408 and handling whatever work comes my way. Being independent means I have to be my own boss, my own secretary, and my own IT guy. It’s not always glamorous, and there are days when the internet acts up or the power goes out, but I wouldn't trade it for a cubicle. I do a bit of everything depending on what the project needs. Malleswaram is great because everything I need is within walking distance, so even when I’m stuck working late, I can still get out for a quick coffee. I don't have a big company name or a flashy logo. I just go by my own name and let the work speak for itself. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, but I find it rewarding when a project finally wraps up. I try to keep my life simple and my work honest. Most of my clients find me through word of mouth, which is nice because it feels more personal that way. It’s just me, my laptop, and a lot of coffee most days. I spend my time trying to figure out how to do things better for the next project that comes in.
