Iiism

We’ve got our spot set up in Basaveshwara Nagar, over in the Borate Wada area of Pune. It’s a local neighborhood, and our place at number 81 is where we handle all the Iiism business. It’s not some glass-walled corporate office. It’s more of a practical space where we can actually get things done without much fuss. We have some desks, a few chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of notebooks filled with plans. The area around here is quite lively, especially in the evenings when people are out and about. We usually start the day early with some tea and a quick chat about what needs doing. Most of the work involves sitting at computers or talking on the phone with people. It can get a bit hectic when we have a lot on our plate, but we manage. We don’t have a receptionist or anything fancy. If you come by, you’ll probably just see one of us leaning over a desk or checking a list. We keep a calendar on the wall with everything marked in different colors, though we sometimes forget to update it regularly. It’s a simple operation. We like it this way because it’s easy to manage and we know where everything is kept. Pune is a good place for us, and this corner of Basaveshwara Nagar feels like home now. We usually wrap things up by seven.
