Hmt Machine Tools Ltd is located at Hmt Bhavan, which is number 59 on Bellary Road. It’s an old building, everyone around here knows it. You can’t really miss it if you’re driving down the main road. We’ve been here for a very long time. The place has that classic feel of a long-standing institution. There are lots of hallways and old desks. We work on machine tools, which has always been the main thing here. Bellary Road is always packed with traffic, so we hear the honking from the office all day. The staff here is a mix of people who have been around for decades and some newer faces. We aren’t trying to be some trendy startup. This is a place where we value the history of what we do. The work is steady and involves a lot of technical drawings and machine specs. Hmt Bhavan has seen better days, maybe, but it’s sturdy and feels like home to us. We handle a lot of the administrative side and the planning for the tool production. It’s a bit formal sometimes, but mostly it’s just us doing our jobs. We take our tea breaks together and talk about how the city has changed around this building. It’s a landmark in its own way. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just make and manage machine tools.
